Congratulations Scot McArthur!

Scot Guessed that the rock in the photo is a survey marker used by the original surveyors and is the latest winner of Wild Turkey Trivia!
Here are some surveyors from AlS surveying standing next to another stone we had to find to complete the survey. This one is a section corner. The one used for the trivia ? is a 1/4 corner, if you look closely at the trivia photo you can see "1/4" etched in it. Talk about looking for a needle in a haystack, these rocks were buried in 1891!

Do you see Marc the monkey in the tree?

OK, Here's a Clue

Back in May of 1891, this stone was etched, but not for fun.
A Government Worker with a bag full of chains,
a compass a hat and a head full of brains,
buried this rock at a point on a line,
that took me what seemed like a year to find. =}

Bring On The Builders!

Happy May !

So, Believe it or not... The Builders are coming!!!

Steve and the crew (EBL) will be here May 13th. The roads are finally melted out and we have 5000 feet of cable patiently waiting in Boise. EBL is excited to get the course built and let the zipping begin ! If all goes well we will be open early June.

Spring in Horseshoe Bend is beautiful. The hills are green and the wild flowers are finally starting to peek their little heads out.

We are starting to get a lot of inquiries for reservations, especially for weekend days over the summer so if you know the day you want to go call soon!

Thanks for keeping the faith,

Eric

Happy Tax Day!

Well... The snow is melting, slowly . I could really go for a couple more 70 degree days. How about you?

My maiden voyage on the 4 wheeler:
I made it !
Thats me spreading dirt on the road to help melt the snow using the power of the sun. This part of the road is dry now.

Wasn't it a great weekend? Anne and I stayed at the Pioneer Inn at Bogus and skied and hung out with friends

Here are some outstanding members of the Bogus Basin Freestyle Team from 1986. Where are the Mullets?Gun Show!!

We had to delay the arrival of EBL due to the snow but the way the snow is melting the building should begin soon.

Anne, Jackie and I started moving into our office at the Riverside Depot Inn in Horseshoe Bend last week.
Keep an eye out for our upcoming adds in the Boise Weekly and thanks for dropping in.

Happy Spring!

Hello and happy Spring !

What a winter. I was in Utah guiding heli skiing for the Wasatch Powderbird Guides. The area definitely lived up to its reputation for the greatest snow on earth. It just kept piling up.

Now I am back in Idaho preparing for the upcoming Zipping season. I just moved into a house in Horseshoe Bend. Here is the view out the back door:

My girlfriend Anne:will be moving up from Utah next week. We are both very excited for the upcoming season.

Hudson is almost 4 months old and doing well as is his mother Sondra.

My brother Jim and his son James are also doing well. Here they are at Easter:

Everything is lining up nicely for Zip Idaho. EBL (the builder) is scheduled to arrive April 15th. There is still quite a bit of snow at the property but with a little help from Mother nature we should be opened by Memorial Day weekend.

Thanks for checking in and we'll see you soon!

Eric
